Terms of Use

The terms you accept by using this site, in plain language.

Effective

Using this site

This site is published by Efficient Frontier Solutions LLC. By browsing it or sending a message through it, you accept these terms. If you do not, the remedy is simple: stop using the site.

There are no accounts here and nothing to buy. The site exists to describe the work and to let you start a conversation about it.

What the content is, and is not

Everything published here — the writing, the talks, the frameworks, the descriptions of past engagements — is general information about a professional practice. It is not consulting advice for your situation, and it is not legal, financial, medical, or tax advice.

Reading a page does not make you a client. A client relationship starts only under a signed written agreement, and nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance.

Descriptions of past results describe those engagements. They are not a promise about yours.

Who owns what is here

The text, design, photography, video, and underlying code of this site are owned by Efficient Frontier Solutions LLC or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Book titles, talk titles, and brand names shown here are the marks of their respective owners.

You may read, link to, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish a page wholesale, mirror the site, scrape it to train a model, or present the material as your own. Anything beyond ordinary reading and citation needs written permission, which is usually granted if you ask.

What you send through the form

Send only what you have the right to send, and keep it accurate. Do not send confidential information through a web form — treat anything you type as unprotected until a confidentiality agreement is actually in place.

An unsolicited idea, pitch, or proposal sent through this form is not received in confidence and creates no obligation. If you need a message treated as confidential, ask first and paper it properly.

Links to other places

This site links out — to a publisher, a podcast, a column, an event page. Those destinations are run by other people under their own terms and their own privacy practices. A link is a pointer, not an endorsement, and what happens on the other side is outside this site's control.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as it is. No promise is made that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of errors, or that every detail is current — dates move, engagements change, and pages lag reality.

To the fullest extent the law allows, all implied warranties are disclaimed, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Efficient Frontier Solutions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this site, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data — even where the possibility was known.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them belongs in the courts of that jurisdiction, and both sides submit to it.

Changes, and how to reach a human

These terms may change. The effective date at the top moves when they do, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the revised version.
